What is "documentary commercial photography?"

I describe my client work as "documentary commercial photography" because it takes an authentic, storytelling approach to advertising photography. The focus is on real people doing real things so that potential clients, donors, employees or investors can find out exactly what your business or organization does.

Won't the photos be better if we stage or pose them?

Absolutely not! With over 20 years working in a documentary style, I know exactly who, what, where, when, why, and how to photography subjects to appear most natural and convey your message.

Surely you'll need lighting, right?

Nope! Everything you see on this page was taken in my documentary style without flash or added lighting of any sort.

What industries do you consider your specialty?

My specialty is my style and approach, which I can apply to any industry. I've photographed travel & tourism, sports, heath care, factories, industrial settings, construction & development, architecture and more!
